Stopped here with extended family including many young kids . Staff were great, very good service . Good kids menu. Food was great (memu is focused on seafood). Will be back.

We where looking for an seafood Restaurant near Métis sur Mer We were very please with this Restaurant excellent service an we love the food specially well cooked and very good service I had the Salmon and it was crisp At point We came back next day for more Excellent view also

Best seafood restaurant near The St- Lawrence

Busy place for a reason. They serve the best lobster (and seafood) at an unbelievable price. Everything we had was fresh and very tasty. The service is fast and efficient you can see how they work hard. Book in advance to get a chance to eat here. Totally worth it

great food, great service and more importantly, they accommodated us last minute . The recommendations for sea food were outstanding and we will most certainly eat again next time we visit

first off i called to make a reservation and at the same asked if I could have sea food platter for 2 but could we only have 1 lobster they said sure no problem. when wplaced our order the waitress said no one told me they could do this, so what I'm a liar now? we ordered the platter anyways the food was good the lobster were very small and I doubt they were fresh. every thing was cold. matane shrimp were very good the Mandarin shrimp aswell fries were very good the service was good. I would have given it 4 stars if it wasn't for the lobster issue and the food being cold.

My husband I stopped in for lunch on our drive back from Matane. The restaurant was packed but we were seated rather quickly. The waitress was friendly and patient with us. I had the shrimps which were good and my husband had the lobsters which was delicious. Definitely must have the lobster!

Simply amazing, we were visiting from out of town and was unaware we needed reservations, but they accommodated us and welcomed our group of 6, service is top notch and food is amazing

It was a great pleasure to be received with such amazing hospitality in such a beautiful setting. We ate lobster, crab, langoustines with a seafood chowder with big chunks of scallops and nordic shrimp. Everything was top notch, thank you very much !!!

Really disappointed. I've been hearing about Le Matelot for years and finally went with my fiancee's familiy while in town for our wedding. Bread was served individually wrapped in plastic, the food was overdone and some tasted like it was reheated in a microwave. I get the feeling this is a place that's been coasting on its reputation.I spoke to my uncle about it later and he says he's been recently on days like I described, but also on some days when they're on form and delicious.That said, service was friendly and accommodating.

Is a nice restaurant, being a Romanian , i am pretty disappointed by the Quebec restaurants, but this one is awesome, is on the river s border, and it serves you what it has to, Fish! And other variations
